I've got this broody Cuckoo Maran hen setting . . . she's been on the nest for about a week, and other hens seem to add to her clutch every day or so. Last I looked, there were 6 eggs, but I've seen other hens crowded in there with her since.
Here's hoping for a successful hatch! I only have 12 laying hens since the Pine Marten attack, so I could use more!
She looks to me like she's pretty well settled in and goin' for the long haul. Let's hope she hatches out a whole bunch of girl chicks to build up your flock again.
