Exhaustion was a week or two ago. Now we're numb.
We close on this house and move up to the property in 9 days. Are we ready? Nope. Will we be ready? Nope. Will we make do? Yep. (We have no choice!)

The highlight of the day today was running water out of a garden hose! The first, non-hand-pumped or carried or hauled water produced at Swamp River Ridge!
There are whispers of a toilet being hooked up tomorrow (although we'll miss the view from the open-air biffy).
We (Dad and Tom and our Jack-of-all-Trades with a little help from myself and lots of moral support from Mom) moved the chicken house up on Sunday. It all went relatively well, and no chickens (nor humans) were (too badly) harmed during the move. (The humans were a bit sore on Tuesday once the two-day effect kicked in.)
This Saturday the timber frame woodshed is going to be raised by hand . . . . Then, we'll have our final going-away party at the Hastings Inn Free House that night.
No energy for anything more from me tonight. I'll post a picture or two before I sign off.
