Hollyhock Hollow

Okay, I know y'all are anxious . . . and now that I know it's "mine", I can post some pictures!

What I think of the "front yard" is really the back of the house.  Clear as mud?  I stopped by last night (but this picture was taken 2+ weeks earlier!), and the grass is SO long and lush right now that it seems a waste to not cut & BALE it!  ;)

For such a small house, the kitchen is B-I-G and SO bright and shiny!  South and east facing windows.  And, since I'm a in-the-kitchen-most-of-the-time kinda gal, it's purrfect!  The kitchen counter and sink are being replaced, so the dark you see behind it is from the old back-splash.  This will either have been painted come Saturday or I'll get to do it myself for reduced rent.  A win, either way.  And, look at all those CUPBOARDS and CABINETS!!!!  I don't have a S-I-N-G-L-E real cabinet in this (Swamp River Ridge) kitchen!  And . . . drawers!!  I've only ever had ONE here!

Turning to the right (from the 1st kitchen picture) is this other south-facing window and the back door.  The dining room table will go underneath that recessed wall knick-knack shelf, and there's enough room to put a little desk under the big window.
And, with that, it's 14 minutes past my bedtime.  Off I go!

(Can you tell, I'm finally starting to get excited?!)

  1. Nice! I am SO envious of that kitchen. How the heck did you survive with only one drawer? Where'd you stash your junk???? The floors look nice a shiny. I'm excited, too!
