Spring Storm Non-Event

With howling winds down by the lake and a high of 25 at work yesterday, it was a little nasty out.  Still, I only got 3+ inches of snow here at Swamp River Ridge . . . although the temperature is just 10 degrees this morning!  Ahhh, spring in northern Minnesota!  :)

Heading out on the "summertime" driveway.

The highway:  i-cy!!
Returned home last night to no power.  Snow and a very overcast day made for ZERO solar gain, and the batteries couldn't keep up with the unexpected drain due to the extra heat the house's thermostat was asking for.  Ah, well.  I'm used to all this now.  ;)

  2. Kinda on the same wave as Judy's comments: it's curious to note that "stuff" seems to happen all at once. I guess that's surefire proof that the Universe is organized. Blegh!-"M"

  3. Oh, I hope that weather isn't contagious! It's not that I really think that winter is quite done with us (frost predicted tonight), but I was kinda sorta hoping that it would just give up and go away. The blinders are on! Hope you got some power up and heat on! How does your little car navigate on all that ice?

  4. I do not envy your commute one little iota. I remember the last time I drove on ice (for a stupid work convention, nonetheless) and the entire 2 hour drive I clutched the steering wheel and my knuckles really did turn white.

Keep warm and snuggly with the critters and think happy spring (you know, REAL spring, when it's not snowing) thoughts. We're all thinking good thoughts for you.
