  1. Well, find me the pointy hat and stool in the corner. I don't get it.

  2. Another one here who doesn't get it. And I've actually used both of those items in my youth. Given up on the tapes, but not the pencils.

  3. Mom & Carolyn . . . sillies! Pencils (as long as they're not the smoothly round kind) are the best thing to wind cassette tapes with!!!

  4. Well, duh! I thought of that immediately but didn't get what was funny about it. I still do it every now and then. (Am I sounding stupider and stupider?)

  5. HA! But, we're some of those throwbacks who still have cassettes and our children have all wound them a time or two. But we're far from typical.

  7. Full Freezer, you're right: we're all FAR from typical . . . a GOOD thing! :)

The "funny" part of it is that this current generation wouldn't get it . . . 'cause they haven't used cassette tapes! Make sense now?

  8. Mama Pea- You crack me up!! You aren't sounding stupider, but maybe you are dating yourself just a wee bit. ;)
Because of my husband who still listens to both cassette tapes and albums (I'm really surprised that he doesn't have an 8 track collection as well), my children do know that connection.
Thanks for the laugh, Chicken Mama (and Mama Pea). Haha...
    OK, I'll be nice...haha ha.

  9. Ah reminds me of the good old days when you froze a record (remember those big plastic discs?) when it had a scratch so it wouldn't skip when you played it.
Gah! You know you are truly getting old when you remember things your kids never will know.
