I wish I had time to write this morning . . . and sleep in . . . and . . . and . . . .
But, there's not much going on right now: I think this must be the cold, quiet heart of winter that we look so forward to so that we can get things done. (Un)fortunately, I'm pretty busy at work right now, so I don't have that luxury here at Swamp River Ridge.
I spent quite a bit of time with the sign maker yesterday designing four projects:
- the sidewalk sandwich board (hoping to draw passers-by in)
- the magnetic OPEN sign for the front door of the office building
- the Chicken Mama Designs lettering that I'll have put on the car come warm weather, and
- a warning sign (finally) for the snowmobilers on my winter driveway.
This morning, I have an appointment with two women regarding the project I'll do (a brochure) as payment for the beautiful aviary I received last fall.
Tomorrow I meet with a new client for a website redesign (I've done more REDESIGNS for people rather than new websites: it's amazing how many people are UNhappy with the websites they've paid $500 - $1,000 for!).
'Course, all these appointments mean that I'm not getting much done in my office, but hopefully I'll be able to hit that hard on Saturday and Sunday.
Otherwise, it's cold. No new snow in a while, and that's just fine! :) My new "won't-go-flat" wheelbarrow tire arrived yesterday, so I'm eager to get that on so that I can move some snow to access a new pile of firewood. Exciting, huh? ;)
Hope your Thursday treats you well!
Sounds like you've got a lot of great things going on, not that I'd expect anything else. Just make sure you're treating YOU well!!!
ReplyDeleteYou can probably use your car as a business write-off if you advertise on it. I'm not sure, but it would be worth a check with your tax person.
ReplyDeleteI think the lettering for the car is a great idea, and definitely look up the tax info on that! Hey will anyone let you put up another sandwich board closer to the main drag with an "arrow" saying like "x" blocks this way?!
ReplyDeleteTrying to post a comment again! Glad you're well and things are moving forward. Winter here has been awesome-while so many are grumbling about the bitter cold and snow, I just smile, still loving it!! Hope your new tire does the trick for you!
