For now, though, Snow Triage is the priority of the day. Winter HAS arrived! I took the new header pic this AM. I couldn't get home Saturday night, the roads were too bad. Got halfway and stayed with friends before I was too far away (from houses) for that option.
The beginning of the storm on Saturday. |
Anyway, in this order, this is what I'm heading out to do:
- See if the truck will start or if I have to charge the battery (since the car's not here to jump it). Noticed I hadn't shut the door the entire way last time I'd grabbed something from inside, and I'm worried that the dome light was on and ran the battery down.
- Clean off the solar panels in case any sun should shine through today and charge up the electrical system.
Try toHook up the snowplow (by myself for the first time!).- Plow the 4 1/2 mile driveway.
- Get the car home.
Coming home last night. Ahhh, I sure am one lucky girl! |
A blurry picture, but things were awfully pretty. |
Gorgeous snowfall. Maybe it doesn't feel "lucky" when you can't drive all the way in, but wow-what a setting!
ReplyDeleteYour house looks like a beautiful Thomas Kincaid photo!
ReplyDeleteHope everything starts for you!
Gorgeous! Get those winter tires on the car asap, or I will join forces with Mama Pea and you don't want that LOL! Hope everything went well today!
ReplyDeleteYay for snow!! Can't wait for it to arrive here!
ReplyDeleteOh wow those are beautiful shots of your house in the snow. I'd walk to get there too!
ReplyDeleteSue, yep, "luck" would have been driving all the way in. But, I love snow & winter, so I can't complain! :)
ReplyDeleteMs. Apple Pie, awwww, thanks. :) But, that's just because you don't see the inside! All 2x4s and insulation!
Erin, HEY, you're not my mother, you can't tell me what to do!!! ;) But, the threat of you & Mama Pea joining forces is enough to scare ANYONE into action!
Becky, I've been thinking of posting a fun little poll on my blog, keeping a running list of when winter arrives to each of you! What do you think?
Sparkless, thanks! I loved your "I'd walk to get there, too"! :)
