  3. Erin, I dreamt (dreamed?) about you last night. You'd come up to Minnesota for some sort of presentation that Mama Pea & I also attended. Right after the meeting, you hopped right in your car and drove to your motel.

I remember thinking, "Buuuut, she came all this way up to northern MN, doesn't she want to spend the evening with Mom & me?" So, I found your phone number and called you, and you said that you couldn't hang out with us because you wanted to be at your motel to watch the 5-hour season finale of 'Dancing with the Stars' from 8:00 PM - 1:00 AM! I suggested that we all watch it together, but you politely declined: you were all situated in your motel room.

So then (I'd been calling from the car, hoping I could go pick Mama Pea up and then come get you), I headed home to my motel (guess the presentation wasn't close enough for me to stay at home) except my motel was (hahahaha - I'm already laughing) the PLAYBOY MANSION! There was no one around (the estate), and it was all quiet. Actually, it kind of looked like Cinderella's castle at Disney World, now that I think about it!

Hef showed up and wanted to get into his room (they'd given me his), but they said that he wasn't allowed into the mansion anymore . . . something about tax delinquency.

So! Figure THAT out! (I've always had VIBRANT dreams!)

  4. Omg that's hilarious! I'm such a dork I wouldn't know Hugh Hefner if he knocked on my door flanked with playboy bunnies! And be up nort' and rather be watching Dancing with the Stars instead finding some trouble to get into with you all? Ha!

  5. Ummm, regarding your dream . . . what did you drink before going to bed last night, Chickie Mama??

I think that is our baby buck Barley you're holding in the picture, no?

When Dad and I saw the ad for the goats for sale, I know we both had a moment of thinking about it but luckily came to our senses very fast. Someday . . . just not right now. :o)

  6. I'm afraid I'm not much help either. Goats are adorable, but my friend who raises them tells me that they're very mischievious and great escape artists. No matter how well she secures them, they seem to get out. She actually named one Houdini. But for me, the cuteness wins. Easy for me to say because I'm not the one chasing them around in rainstorms!

  7. I've been there (not at the Playboy mansion; I mean, raising the goats). DON'T DO IT. They're fine and all, but don't you have enough going on? The last thing you need is another obligation. And, while Tucker and Maisy can hang in the car while you work, not sure how well a goat would do added to that mix. ;)

  8. Remember that fine advice about waiting 2 weeks before making a decision about buying something? I think for goats that should be 2 years. I do think they're wonderful though! They would sure take care of your front yard, but they'd take care of everything else too! I have to day, dear, that I agree with Claire - for now. I am sure, though, that your day WILL come!

  9. Oops! I have to "say", not "day"! ;)

  10. Another one from the no help from me school. I also like goats and have wanted one or two....preferably with horns. I loved Billie Goat (all black) that Joel Lewis had over there. It was Corrie's actually. Also, the ones they had at Smith's feed this side of GM. Short and stocky with big horns. Sooo fun. Just what I need, right. Then everything on the deck can also get eaten. :)foxylady
