With a low of 26.1°, we had our first and second frosts of the year on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. This first frost was both late AND provided beautiful views out the front door Wednesday morning.
Here are the remaining images of some of the local damage from last week's storm. This first one was taken on the road we used to live on down by the big lake. As you can see, I wasn't exactly able to drive all the way through. I don't know if you can see it or not, but, from the top left of the picture to the bottom right is where the downed power lines are drooping.
Many, many power poles just snapped right off from the wind's strength.
We got the damage at our little cabin cleaned up last week, too. AMAZINGLY, the tree did NOT go all the way through the roof, even though you would be none the wiser based on the header image of this blog here!
And, there are tales to tell of the bull moose that was taken by a good friend on our back 40 yesterday morning . . . not 3 hours into the lottery-only season that he and his father-in-law had been applying for for a combined total of 35 years!
But, until then . . . have a good week!
