Wow, I haven't updated in an age. Sorry about that. No excuses or any special reason - just "the usual".
It was just over a year ago (already!) - August 21st - that we sold the cabin in southwestern MN. The "beginning of the end" of life down there in Tom's hometown. Here's a shot taken from out in front of the cabin down towards the lake and dock.
And then, Tom and his dad on their last day at the lake together . . . although it's a bit blurry. I found it just a bit too coincidental that all the pictures I took of Tom and his dad that day turned out blurry . . . on an automatic-focus camera. It was as though the "end of the era" wasn't quite yet ready, emotionally, to end. Kinda sad, no?
On the up-side, the folks we sold the cabin to were SOOOOOO excited to get it, and friends of theirs had even made them a sheetcake to commemorate the occasion with a picture of the cabin painted in frosting on top of it! So, we rest easy knowing that it's in good hands, being enjoyed to the fullest.
