As Tom was standing at the living room window overlooking the valley and sipping his coffee just now, he calmly commented, "There's a fire out there."
WHAT???????
Sure enough, after watching it for a couple of minutes to ensure that it wasn't just snow blowing out of pine trees (a common winter occurance), we determined that it was, indeed, a fire.
So, off to the battery room in the garage I went to call 911.
There is probably 1-2" of snow cover in the woods, but things are still SO dry! And, as usual as of late, it's super windy.
But, how did it start? A lightning strike during the night (when it was snowing)?! A careless camper or hunter? This weekend is the season closing for both bear and moose . . . .
Anyway, stay tuned!
So.... what happened with the fire?
