14 September 2006: Our first night spent at the new house was Wednesday, September 13th. This was all in support of Miss Kitty. See, we had a wedding celebration to attend in the Cities the weekend immediately after we closed, and we were deathly afraid that, if we left Miss Kitty for the weekend in a new, strange place . . . she'd take off! So, while my orginal, way-back-when plan had been to start sleeping here (with Miss Kitty) on the first of the month to get her adapted to the new surroundings, it ended up being only 3 nights before we left her alone. But, MUCH to our delight, she has adapted perfectly to her new home. This picture was taken from our deck of the valley below at 7:14 AM on our first morning. The river is shrouded in early morning mist.
