3 July 2006: I know it's becoming redundant but, "I don't have time for a proper update right now." Instead (and, as usual), I'll quickly post a recent picture. I ordered 39 chicks made up of 19 breeds this year, and they arrived this past Monday. Hatched on July 1st, 43 were sent, and 2 have since died (they generally send extra to account for loss in travel, etc.). So, I now have 41 very healthy and vigorous little chicks. Here they are - settled into the brooder and under the red glow of the heat lamp out in the chicken house.
