28 September 2005: Our Second-in-Command timber framer makes a mortise in a timber using a chainsaw blade-like contraption. All the wood was from New York state except for these few pieces acquired locally that were finished right on-site. The timber framer hadn't been happy with the ones he'd received in Montana and so waited until he was here . . . and replaced them.
