We did head up to the property yesterday to get some work done, but Tom's chainsaw bogged down . . . so much for that plan. But, the guineas have surfaced - Tom saw them alongside the driveway when he arrived. However, Maisy caught one of the females in short order, so she (the guinea) rested from the shock of it all in the back of Tom's pickup the whole time we were there.
The only wild animal activity was a very fat, very dark-furred little woodchuck that hightailed it across the road on my drive up. Well, that and the mosquitoes. AAARGH!
Word is that road restrictions are to be lifted today. That means that things should be starting, any week now, up at Swamp River Ridge! Stay tuned.
