Quick Overview

Good morning!  I have no time for a proper post, but here are the things that happened and will happen in the past & current 96 hours!

In no particular order:
  • Plowed in the 4.5 miles to Swamp River Ridge after last week's snow.
  • Dead battery in truck so I couldn't plow after Thursday night's snow and before the crew arrived on Friday.  Result?  Slippery drive for those coming in.
  • "That call" at 2:00 AM from me to the Pea Parents saying that I'd broken my foot and needed to go into the ER.  HOW would I finish the move in 1 month with a broken foot?
  • Limited sleep same night for the Pea Family.  End result?  NO broken foot, and it's fine now!  (No ER trip, either!)
  • Started jumper cables on fire.  Not just sparks:  FLAMES.
  • 8' (?) tall cabinet falling onto Mama Pea.
  • Me falling underneath the 500# (literally, I think!) fire-proof file cabinet as we pushed it up the ramp into the trailer.  Milli-second later ROLL for yours truly off the ramp into the snow as Papa Pea held the entire weight of the cabinet as T helped Mom out from underneath the cabinet that had just fallen on her!
  • Lots of sore muscles (for all, I imagine).
  • Me getting the SRR house from 31 degrees up to 45!!  (A real heatwave!)
  •  One trailer and two trucks F-U-L-L-Y packed at Swamp River Ridge and unloaded in town at Mom & Dad's and the storage unit, respectively (Thursday).  And in the dark.
  • Another trailer and one truck F-U-L-L-Y packed at Swamp River Ridge and unloaded in town at Mom & Dad's, my cabin, and the storage unit, respectively (Friday & today).
  • A trip to and back from Canada.
  • An absolutely dead alternator and, therefor, truck as Mom and Dad hauled Friday's load out of Swamp River Ridge.  In the dark.  B-a-r-e-l-y made it down to the highway thanks to T driving behind them, in the other lane, lighting the way (in the pitch black) the entire way.
  • T driving to Dad's mechanic and BFF to notify him of same.
  • The Pea Family waiting alongside the road for J (above) to arrive in the dark with a fully charged battery so we could drive the 3 miles to his garage.
  • Making room for Mom and Dad in my pickup following above for drive to their house and 2nd truck.
  • Dad and me driving back to J's, immediately, to unload everything from 1st (dead) Suburban into 2nd Suburban and rehook the fully loaded trailer to finish the hauling into town.  In the dark.
  • J replacing the alternator on dead Suburban.  On a Saturday.
  • Plowing in and out again the 4.5 miles.
  • Rain turning the snow into a slick, slushy MESS.
  • Me getting a full day in at work (I was glad for the "rest")!
And, ummm, I think that's it.  Mom, Dad, did I miss anything?!

Whew!
