Locked 'n' Loaded

I was just sitting here, sucked into unbelievable videos of the tsunami on YouTube when I heard the metal lid of the sunflower seed can go flying.  Hmmmmm, squirrels at night?  (No!  Not unless they're flying squirrels, and I don't think those are as adept as their diurnal relations.)

I grabbed a strong flashlight and then turned all the lights off in the kitchen.  Quickly shining the light out the window at the deck, I saw the hind quarters of a big @ss raccoon quickly retreating!  (Squirrels, my foot!)

I headed outside to have a look and then called the dogs out.

OMG, what B-O-R-I-N-G guard dogs!  Tucker just sat on his hill of snow.  Maisy, at least, came with me, but didn't sniff out a thing!  I pointed her nose to the railing where the raccoon had walked.  "Sniff, sniff.  Yah, Mom, so what?"

I shined my flashlight up in all the nearby trees, but nuthin'.  Hmph.

Stay tuned!

  3. Those masked bandits! I don't blame the dogs, they can be pretty fierce - I'm with Yvette, where's your cold metal friend? I do that even in suburbia (don't tell the neighbors LOL), it's hard to take the farm outta the girl!

  4. ah the poor raccoon is just hungry from a long winter sleep.

In my opinion you should lock and load something else. You know what I mean, a ass full of buck shot would do the it some fricken good. But I still think my remark on the phone to you, would even be better from a real tall oak tree. The other thing right next to the it would even be better. If the make trip Canada in June, I will have to stop at a place and make a few remarks to the other it about my opinion on things. Would not bother me one bit to make a fool of the other it. Always in for a good laugh.....
