A Problem (Of My Own Doing)

I'm not spending enough time in my office at Chicken Mama Designs.  Straight up, flat out, that's the truth.  Why?  Because I don't get in to the office until 2:00, 3:00 in the afternoon.  That gives me about 2 1/2 hours before I have to leave again to pick up the dogs.  Then I work for about 2 or 3 more hours, but no longer, not wanting to leave the dogs in the cold car past then.  So, where do I need to put in more time?  Before 2:00 or 3:00, that's clear.

My folks have been VERY generous by taking the dogs during the day, but I'm NOT taking full advantage of that.  I need to get them there earlier so that I, in turn, can get in to the office earlier.  Of course, anyone with a brain could have told me this.  But, I've never been one to do anything that anyone tells me (or that I tell myself) until I'm good and ready.  Now, finally, I'm good and ready.

Why?  Well, the first - and what seemed like a massive chunk of money - installment from the divorce settlement is RAPIDLY dwindling.  Like, hemorrhaging.

Un-freaking-believable.  I just finished writing a post.  A HUGE post.  HUGE.  Made myself schedules, talked about being accountable to you, my readers . . . when this STUPID #@!# computer froze up again.  No problem, Blogger saves your work about every minute.  Nope, the laptop must not have been transmitting to the Internet.  All I have is what's above.  I'm so frustrated, you have no idea.  OH, the DETAILS I'd written down!  Now, all gone.  I'm sorry, but I can't try to recreate it right now, I'm too mad.

Until later, then.  (Did I mention?  I need a new laptop.)  Unreal.  AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

  1. OOOOOHHHH! The pain and sheer agony of losing that whole post! That's happened to me once or twice because of something stoopid I'VE done . . . can't blame it on the computer and I feel your pain. Do try to sit down to recreate what you had written. I know it will help you get things straight in your mind and lead to good things. So, so sorry you lost it in the first place. So maddening!

  2. You get into the office at 2 or 3? I don't even know what to say about that LOL! I'd be leaving for home about then! Yep, we've got to get you on a schedule, and fast!

  3. Oh no! That stinks! It's bad enough you lose 'comments' let alone an entire post!

Isn't it amazing how quickly money just slips thru your hands. Even when you know you are being very frugal, it never fails that something comes up! Well hopefully you can milk the computer to it's death! At best, it might make for a good write off on the taxes at least.
