We wouldn't even have to leave the homestead to bag a few Mallards this fall. Ever hear the expression "Like shooting ducks in a barrel (pond)?" We really wouldn't do that. No-no-no-no.
Just a question, to me that weapon looks more like a rifle than a shotgun. Am I wrong? Oh, by the way, I am a duck hunter. Go every year with my husband. The shotguns we use just don't look like the one in the picture.
If you are familiar with me and where I live, please respect my right to retain some anonymity by not referring to me by anything other than Chicken Mama nor mentioning city/town/villages by place names. Thanks!
Hrumpf. All I ever got to do was paddle!

ReplyDeleteOh, and Mom: regarding you harrumphing about always having to paddle . . . Dad was actually out with Art K. when this shot was taken. :)
ReplyDeleteI know it is "shooting fish in a barrel" but that wasn't applicable, was it?
ReplyDeleteActually, I thought Dad might have been with K.S. on that outing. I was just trying to garner some sympathy. Didn't work, did it?
