No Pictures = Two Reasons

Can't believe how much I've missed blogging from a comfortable spot in the house instead of here at my desk.  But, the good news is that I pestered my computer guru enough that, on Monday, he said that I could finally pick up the laptop (although it's not 100% fixed and he is completely stumped by that)!  The bad news, though, is that, as I was driving to his shop, I realized that I don't have the $160 in the bank right now to pay him (at least, not for that "extravagance")!  Doh!

I also discovered, yesterday, the reason I can't post any pictures to the blog:  I have exceeded my free memory / size allowance.  So, I need to buy more memory from Blogger.  Fortunately, their prices are good:  $5/year for 20x more than what I just exceeded.  But then . . . there's still that missing cord that connects my camera to the computer so I can upload them!  (Yes, good suggestion, I DO need multiples!!!)

Other than that . . . things are better at work - MUCH better.  I'll fill you in on that over at my "bad blog".

Yesterday was my first day home in I-don't-know-how-long.  Never managed my days at home last week, for some reason.  Well, I do know one reason:  Tom and I had a day in Duluth meeting with the lawyer.  Then, I had another, exhausting, 90-minute meeting with a lawyer on Monday . . . followed by one of the more painful talks Tom and I have had so far.  Blech.  Have I mentioned?  Divorce sucks rotten eggs.

And, with that, my time limit for now is UP, and I must run.  Later, alligators.

  1. Well the lawyers office sounds like a horrible way to spend a day off! How are things going? The summer sounds so hectic for you it makes mine pale in comparison LOL! Here's to you and your next day off, better luck next time, right?

  2. Is that the HMS Bounty anchored at Knife River? We saw it that evening in the fog before all the boats from the marina showed up. Got to board her too, a couple of days later.

  4. Erin, I hate to say it, but I'd almost take my life (recently) over the triple digits temperatures you had to get thru! ;)

Cindy, hi! You know, I wish I *knew* which of the boats it was! I tried to look & ID it on their website, but I had no luck. But, yes, Knife River!! Is it all "modern" on board or do they try to stick to historical accuracy save safety features? I was wondering . . . !

Thanks, Jean! :) I just sent you an invite to the rant blog, too.

  5. If she was at Knife River, she was the HMS Bounty. Somewhat historical. She was built for the movie Mutiny on the Bounty in 1962. Starring Marlon Brando. She was to be burned at some Pacific Island after the movie was completed. Brando said he would not do the movie unless the ship was saved. It is 1/3 larger than the original Bounty. Look her up or get a copy of the Duluth News Tribune for much more information. Did you take the picture?
