Yesterday was the last of the two seasonal art festivals I did. The other was the previous Saturday, November 29th.
This is a shot of my display from the 1st one, in town at the Community Center:
These two pictures are from yesterday's at our "local" art festival - held in our tiny berg's town hall.
Absolutely no segue here, but I know people have been wondering how poor, ravaged Tom the Turkey is doing.
As you can see, his feathers ARE starting to grow back in (out?), but he's looking VERY pathetic. You'll notice that the feathers at the base of his tail are a little bloody. Those are filled with protein and, unfortunately, the other poultry knows it. :( It's a good thing he's the biggest guy in the chicken yard . . . otherwise he'd probably (get picked on too much and) not make it. So far, so good, though: he's holdin' his own!

Looks like you have a lot of nice cards and other cool things. Were sales pretty good?
ReplyDeletePoor Tom--he must be getting cold too. I hope his feathers keep growing fast.
LOVE the new header picture....your place looks like a postcard!
ReplyDeleteWhich reminds me ... are we getting together Saturday? Was that the plan? I am getting very old, you know ...!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I will be experimenting with knitting a turkey butt-warmer. Probably just like a nose warmer ... but BIGGER.
ReplyDelete;)
