Just to let ya know . . . .
When you are pulling boxes of Christmas decorations out of the storage area in the attic . . . and the ladder slips out from underneath you . . . but you catch yourself by the ribs on your left side, your left lower shinbone, and your right pinkie finger . . . it's gonna hurt. (But not as much as it would have had I gone down with the ladder! I only had one foot on it when it went!)
Poor Tom had just brought some boxes downstairs for me, and I think he made it back upstairs in two huge bounds! And, thankfully he WAS in the house . . . otherwise I would have had a L-O-N-G wait. Oh, well, that storage area needs to be sorted, anyway. ;)

So tell me, Ms. Jill-of-all-trades-who-can-handle-anything . . . what WOULD you have done if Tom hadn't been home and you were stuck up in the attic storage area with no ladder?
ReplyDeleteI think I could have gotten down by climbing down to the top of the high bureau. Although, there was a box of family photos up there (and I'd just gone to the bathroom!), so I probably would have been good for a while! ;)
ReplyDeleteOuch is right! That sounds like something that would happen to me too. I'm glad Tom was there to rescue you.
