Seasonal Changes Blog

Okay, I'll admit it. I've done a downright lousy job at keeping our "weather-watch" blog, Seasonal Changes at Swamp River Ridge, updated. Matter of fact, I only got 8 out of the 12 'Same Photo For A Year' shots done . . . and very few of them were actually on the 1st of each month.

But, I really do miss not being able to see that monthly change in the scenery (and show it to you). So, this is my public declaration to do a MUCH better job of it over these NEXT 12 months (including adding some of the missing information from this past year).

Towards that end, I've decided that I'll do a shot from/of the chicken yard each month. But, which angle should I use? Check out these two and tell me which you prefer.

One is taken from the top of the chicken yard looking south out across the valley, and the other is taken from the bottom of the chicken yard looking east up into the trees.

You decide.

  1. I'm voting for the first site example: the top of the chicken yard looking south across the valley.

But, wait! In the winter months when snow covers the ground, the birds will stay closer to the chicken house proper and I'd like to have them in the shots . . . hmmm, now I've completely bamboozled myself.

Oh, heck, I'm going back to my first choice. You can keep the whole yard shoveled free of snow and then they can range wherever they want.

What? You're not willing to do that? Hrumpf.

  2. I vote with Mama Pea--south across the valley. That's an awesome view!

  3. Make it another vote for view one ... there is a little bit of the chicken house along the right hand side ... and i would welcome the addition of chicken pics with a bio for each, anyway.

facebook has "dogbook" -- and each of my four girls has her own page -- why not CHICKENBOOK?!?!?
