Good Sunday morning!
It's another busy, busy day, but I'll be able to post tomorrow. In the meantime, here are some more pics from our ice skating a week ago yesterday.
2 December 2008: Okay, I'm back! Even tho the above pic looks something like the cross-section of an iceberg, I took it looking straight down into the ice from a standing position. The line across the top is a crack in the ice, and the "ice bergs" are just the way the ice reacted to the crack. Purty, huh?!
This is a shot of us checking out one of many spots where the ice was so clear that we could see the weeds and plants growing underneath. It was very cool . . . in a icky, creepy kind of I'm-not-sure-I-really-want-to-be-able-to-see-right-through-the-ice way! ;)
And, it's true, for better or for worse (mostly better!): you can't ever lose that inner child! In the above pic, Tom's on the left with B du Nord in the middle and Big View Fly Boy on the right. And the Levitating J . . . hmmm, she doesn't have a nickname yet! We'll have to work on that! Oh, wait, yes, she does: Ms. Silverstein! (I understand that that's how her incorrectly labeled mail comes.)
And, finally, yours truly with the gang. Big View didn't even know where B du Nord WAS until I told him! (And, no, I have NO idea what prompted that particular pose!) In the Comments section of this post, Mama Pea wrote that "nobody would ever guess all your ages, 'cause ya sure don't act it!" So true! Everyone's in their 50s but me, and the joke is that Tom picked me to marry 'cause I could take care of all of them in their dotage! ;)
