I'm not a good sick person. I don't "rest" well. If I'm gonna rest it's gonna be because I WANT to, not 'cause I HAVE to. Got it? Good. Being sick makes me restless. And cranky.
Mind you, I've only been sick since Saturday night, but it seems like a L-O-T longer than that! And, I'm feeling well enough today to be here at my computer and desk trying to make some sense of the 15" deep pile of deskwork that I have sitting here (nope, I'm not kidding - want me to take a picture of it?), so I shouldn't complain. Anymore. But, I have done plenty of whining to Tom in the past 48+ hours. "Honey? I don't liiiiiike being sick."
A friend who's been battling this bug says that it lasts four days from start to finish. That means I have a day and a half left. If I continue getting better with each hour, I can deal with that. I guess. If I have to.
As my sweetheart's mother used to say to him:
