Way back when - in September - my folks came out to help us with a day of woodworking.
A contractor friend of ours cleared this building site for a new, seasonal home about 12 miles from us - limbing and stacking the trees as he went.
The property owners had no need for the wood, so it fell into our laps - the only cost being our time and labor to retrieve it! What luck! (And, really, how wonderfully sweet of the contractor to think of us!)
We've since put in a couple more days on the pile, and there's more yet to be cut. Free, easily-gotten firewood - can't beat that!
Here's Chainsaw Tommy vamping for the camera. ;)
And, an action shot of my dad as we unload back at our Swamp River Ridge woodshed.
