Also held during the annual Wooden Boat Show - which coincides with the vernal equinox - is the Summer Solstice Pageant. Bigger-than-life papier mâché puppets are created locally, and professional puppeteers from around the state - as well as lots and lots of locals - come to participate. I think word is getting out because, this year, the crowd seeming larger than ever!
