15 December 2006: Last week we awoke to a picture-postcard world. It had been warm and wet and snowing . . . and then the temperature dropped, coating EVERYTHING with snow. This is a view from our bedroom window before the sun came up. Even the last series of hills are hidden in the low, heavy clouds.
