18 July 2006: The steep steps leading down off the western end of the large deck. When we bought the property back in 1997, we bought it thinking that we'd build down by the river . . . we hadn't even found the ridge yet at that point! So, it's a long-term goal to have a nice path cut down the ridge from the house to the 200' of river that flows through our property at the bottom of the valley. These stairs off the deck are the start of that project!
