Stillwater Mountain Lodge

You'll notice a new link to Stillwater Mountain Lodge under the Links section of this webpage. Good friends of ours (our timber framer and his lovely wife, actually) and two other couples have purchased, remodeled, and opened a small lodge (with more expansion to come) in the foothills of the Rockies in Montana. Tom saw it in its early stages when he was out to work on the timbers for our house last March. It's been a massive project for them all (everyone also either works a "real" job or has small children to care for), but they've really made something to be proud of. They've cleared and groomed several kilometers of cross-country ski trails right outside the door, and one of the top downhill ski resorts is 20 minutes away. (Ask Tom about his experiences there last year on the black diamond runs!) So, check it out when you have time. Their website looks terrific!
