25 September 2005: Because the well still hasn't been drilled (since the afore-promised July 4th weekend), we had to haul all the water we used during the floor staining process from the river. We used about 300 gallons. Tom and I would drive the pickup down with the barrels, I'd jump in the river with my knee-high Wellies on while he stood on the tailgate, and we'd start our own little bucket brigade. This is the 2nd-in-Command timber framer taking a much deserved break from his continued knee brace detail in the garage.
