Though not a terribly flattering picture, this gives you an idea of how I spend my early mornings up at the property when I have to do all my phone calling and contractor-chasing. We have a powerful booster attached to our cellphone which, in turn, is attached to a high-powered antenna which runs about 30-40 feet up this tree. The booster is powered by a battery which is housed in this metal-siding box, and it (the battery) is powered by a small solar panel next to the tree. Quite a slick system considering we never thought we could get decent telephone reception up here . . . and now it comes in clear as a bell!
