Tom's coming home!

Tom has been in southwest Minnesota visiting his dad since last Wednesday, and he's finally on his way home today. Maisy has been showing her separation anxiety by pulling (and eating) a stick of butter off the counter - oh, yes, she was in trouble! - and now, today, acting like she's never been sadder or felt more pathetic in her life. Little does she know of the happiness awaiting her later today!

Yesterday was the nicest day we've had yet this spring. It hit 76 degrees in the shade, and there was a stiff wind blowing all day, so NO BUGS! It was heaven to walk to the post office in only a tank top and shorts . . . with no bug dope or headnet on! The bluebells are up along the ditches and driveways, and my tulips are almost all in bloom.

House construction planning and coordination is really getting a little intense right now since road restrictions have been completely lifted, and all the contractors are kicking it into high gear. I spoke to our gravel/septic/pond man last night, and he's finishing up one project and then will be on to ours. So, I'm hoping that the week of the 20th will provide some exciting photos to post! Then, the cement work (house and garage slabs) has to immediately follow.

So, until tomorrow . . . or when something of interest happens: whichever comes first.
