A Sitting Area

If you can get past the unpainted walls to imagine what it will look like finished, here is the sitting area in front of the new (antique) Kalamazoo stove. This is located directly across the house from the front door & foyer (so it's what you see when you walk in). The livingroom is to the right in the picture.

While I was outside sanding on Saturday (trying to stay ahead of the trim boards required), Tom got put to work following up the talent . . . he wood-putty-ed the nail holes and then sanded them smooth.

Here in the livingroom, you can see that we had to move everything for them to access the windows. I don't know why I hadn't anticipated that (didn't think the process through, I guess), but I wasn't expecting the house to be so completely turned upside down. Slowly, but surely, I am trying to get the house back to some semblance of order . . . once again.
